Christine & Michael Sullivan || November 11th, 2017

This is how their love story began:  <3

It all started when Christine and Michael met only six weeks after his big move from Maryland to Texas. They had several opportunities to meet during the month of January during their routine gym sessions at “Crunch Addison”. After weeks of exchanging glances and smiles with any excuse to lift next to the other [and with a little encouragement from her friends], Christine used social media and a popular dating app to track down the mysterious man in the baseball cap with nice biceps. Unfortunately, she was unable to find Michael, but she was able to find his workout buddy instead. Christine was able to get Michael’s full name to message him personally on Facebook. This finally gave Michael the guts to confront Christine face to face at the gym and say, “What’s up?”. After a week of joint gym sessions and completed “swolemate applications”, Michael asked Christine to go on their first date at Whiskey Cake on February 20th, 2015. They engaged in deep conversations, sipped some delicious whiskey and were even told, “you guys make a good looking couple!”. By the end of the night both were already highly infatuated with another [despite Michael’s starched jeans and junkie shoes, haha].
We are so happy that Christine and Michael chose Barnett Estates to be their full day wedding experience and boy do they have some incredible taste in themes and colors. They went for a more Woodsy/Chic theme with color palettes ranging from celedon, taupe, ivory and hunter green. It seriously looks like something out of a magazine! They draped their reception area with linens of khaki, ivory and greens with gobs and gobs of greenery geometric lanterns and cedar planks. I said they were going for woodsy right? Well they totally nailed it.
Can we just take a moment and admire Christine’s dress? She hand designed her entire gown from scratch, being the fashion designer that she is, she managed to put together a showstopping gown with a low back and high slit. A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y STUNNING! We had the pleasure of doing her floral and we have to say, her bouquet was one of the staple pieces! Including White Alabaster Garden Roses, Queen Anne’s Lace, White Hypericum, Green Mini Hydrangeas, Italian Ruscus, and a variety of Eucalyptus!
For their dinner menu, they enjoyed Pulled Pork, Balsamic Glazed Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, with a large variety of home style sides. Hungry yet? Well if you aren’t then I will for sure make your mouth water with their cake choices! Christine’s cake was an absolute masterpiece, with silver linings and peaks of gold she went with half Lemon Green Tea and Green Tea Buttercream as well as a Chocolate Amaretto and Buttercream! Oh but it gets better, Michael’s cake was a replica of his dress blues that was a Hazelnut Spice with Cream cheese Buttercream.
We could go on for hours about every little detail of this beautiful event, however what mattered most is that they were surrounded by their circle that supported them the most and that is what makes days like these so incredibly memorable. And we are just thrilled that we got to witness and partake in it from start to finish.

Their advice to other couples: “Always be open with your communication and listen to the others’ concerns. Be willing to compromise and forgive the other no matter the circumstances. Love each other deeply and be sure to keep your love rooted with God.”

Congratulations once again guys, we are touched that you chose us to make your day nothing short of exemplary.
