Skylar & Anna King || Dec. 30th, 2017

The greatest thing about Texas is that you can have a wedding at nearly any time during the fall/winter season and you are “almost” guaranteed to have fantastic weather. Now I say almost, because we all know that in Texas the weather is never ever consistent.
Luckily these two were in luck with temps above freezing, which is a total plus and a gorgeous scenery!! Skylar & Anna met in high school at Anna’s homecoming while they were set up with different dates, they spent their first actual date at Johnny Carinos. They dated for 4 and 1/2 years before their big day and we just love their sweet proposal story. This is how it went down:

Anna says, “Skylar took me to the same restaurant in Ft. Worth that we celebrated our one-year anniversary (The Reata). At our one year anniversary, the waiter brought out a dessert that said “Happy Annieversary” (Annie was a nickname I’ve had for awhile). For our fourth-year anniversary, he took me back and when the waiter brought out dessert, it said “Will you Marry Me?”

They went with a more rustic look featuring hues of eggplant, navy, silver with hints of burlap. The perks of our wedding venue is that we have the option to flip the space, giving you a chandelier strung aisle way with the option to setup a drenched pergola all inside, gorgeous right? Anna’s bouquet was absolutely stunning, including Ocean Song Roses, White Hydrangeas, Baby’s Breathe, Lavender Roses, embodied with lush greenery!
We are in love with their reception tablescapes and decor: including dinner under their alter. Gaww, what could be more perfect? Floating Lavender cinched with button poms on cedar planks were the perfect staple to tie in this rustic meets chic wedding.
Can we talk about this first look with Dad though? Talk about pulling every single heart string, so emotional and beautiful. They enjoyed their evening with their closest friends and family and sent them off with rows and rows of illuminating sparkler lights, they spent their honeymoon on a Cruise to Cozumel, Cayman Islands and Jamaica.
Thank you both for sharing just a glimpse into what real love is like, we wish you both a lifetime of happiness and laughter together.

Advice from the couple: “Think of your spouse first before yourself — even in the small things, but especially the big. Take the time to tell them ow much they mean to you and don’t let your busy schedule be an excuse to not spend time together.”
